When you join the Rotary Club of Cary-Page, you are not only making friends with an active group of ~50 members of your community, but you are also becoming part of Rotary International.
Rotary International and its Foundation support local and global causes across the world through the actions of clubs like ours.
The Cary-Page club is one of 5 clubs in the Cary area, and has regular breakfast meetings at 7:15AM on Friday mornings at the MacGregor Downs country club. These meetings include a presentation on a topic of interest to our members in addition to providing a social gathering.
Additional socials are also scheduled on a roughly monthly basis.
Most importantly the club also gathers to perform service projects based on current needs in the community. For example some of the members support the Read and Feed organization by spending an hour or so with a group kids who are struggling with reading in school. Others help out at Esteamed coffee, who employ IDD adults to prepare and serve coffee. There is also a group who visit the Dominican Republic every year to work with a Rotary Club there building homes.
We have two types of membership in the club: One is the traditional membership that covers weekly meeting costs, support for club projects and for other Rotary projects. The second is a Service Impact membership that supports the same projects but does not cover meeting costs which can be paid separately when you attend them.
